Heathrow Terminal 1 team arrives at 500,000 hours without reportable incident

20/02/2009

The Mace aviation team on the Heathrow Terminal 1 arrivals and departures project has achieved 500,000 working hours without a reported incident. Mace continues to provide the highest quality service on a complicated project for client BAA, whilst also maintaining a safety record to be proud of.

The achievement of this milestone is even more remarkable considering the project has been executed at the busiest passenger terminal in the world without disruption to operations. The efforts of what is a very experienced and capable combined team of Mace and Mlogic, together with BAA, have shown that a very restricted and ever-changing project can be executed without incident.

BAA project leader David Buisson said: "I would like to thank each and every one of those who have been involved in the delivery of this project and the achievement of this very important and satisfying milestone. Health and safety is the number one priority for us in our workplace and for this project team to achieve 500,000 hours without incident is a fantastic achievement and one that everybody should be proud of."
