3. King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Jeddah
Saudi Arabian Government Investment Authority has established a national initiative for Saudi Arabia to become one of the top 10 most competitive countries by 2010. Part of this initiative is the development of the world's largest, strategically planned Greenfield developments in the form of the Economic Cities, the first and largest being KAEC.
KAEC is seen as the premier one of a number of new urban centers in KSA based on a variety of new and expanded economic opportunities which envisions a redistribution of the population and provides a means of improving the quality of life for future residents with a range of different types of accommodation and community facilities consistent with life in a modern city created in six distinctive districts: seaport, industrial, educational, business, resort, and residential as detailed in the diagram below.

Macro’s role is to supply consultancy for a variety of functions ranging from hard & soft facility management procurement strategies to service charge model development.
