Information

This project comprises the provision of new station buildings with an associated platform upgrade. The project scope also required demolition of an existing station structure. The station is in a conservation area and forms the centrepiece of a plan to regenerate Deptford High Street and town centre.

Supplementary elements include integration of the main station entrance with a new high quality piazza, and retention of a Grade II listed viaduct running tangentially from the railway. This will form part of a new development designed by a high profile architectural practice.

The principal interfaces are with the London Borough of Lewisham (LBL), who are co-ordinating the regeneration programme and Network Rail. The station operator is Southeastern.

Mace was initially appointed by LBL to programme and design manage the early phase of the work, however this changed to RIBA Stage D completion.
