UK National Lottery operator turned to Sense to cost manage the delivery of a vital new data centre facility.
Sense is providing Camelot with cost consultancy services for this niche data centre facility housed within one of the client's existing buildings. The data centre will form part of a national network of data centres to ensure resilience of information storage. Procurement strategies were carefully developed to allow an immediate start on site once the Lottery Commission had confirmed the successful lottery operator.
The project comprises the formation of a new internal structure to house the IT equipment, new external plantrooms, plant and equipment installed on an n+1 basis to provide the required system resilience and additional plant capacity has been carefully incorporated to allow for future expansion.
