Mace is undertaking the role of employer's representative on this project. This involves overall management of the project and managing all commer-cial aspects, with a focus on procurement, change management and cost control and reporting.The Absheron Hotel is currently 228 key luxury five-star hotel to be operated under the JW Marriott brand.

In addition, the hotel includes long stay apartments, meeting rooms, board-rooms, food and beverage areas, a grand ballroom, executive lounges, retail space, space for an embassy and recreational areas such as fitness/gym and spa.

Car parking is also provided in the basement of the building for hotel, apart-ment and embassy guests and visitors.

The façade of the hotel and exterior landscaped areas reflect the prestigious location of the building as well as the importance of the Absheron; in its pre-vious form it was an important building and landmark in the city of Baku.

The building currently has a combined approximate gross internal area of 62,329 m2. It is 21-storeys high including a five level podium. There are 14 floors of guestrooms, with the top level of the hotel (20th floor) housing a presidential suite, terraces and pool.
