Dresdner headquarters

In its first major commission, Sense was appointed by Dresdner Kleinwort to cost manage the fit out of a new headquarters building at 30 Gresham Street.

In May 2006 Sense Cost Consultancy completed the cost management of the year's largest fit out in the City of London for Dresdner Kleinwort at 30 Gresham Street. The 388,000ft2 fit out was completed within a nine month programme and below budget.

The project involved the strip out of more than 150,000 square foot of developer fit out works, the installation of £7m worth of base build infrastructure works and the tenant's fit out works over ten storeys, including two dealer floors to accommodate 900 dealers, an auditorium, staff restaurant, client meeting and dining room floor, an executive suite, two large data rooms and a 16 metre bridge spanning an existing atrium.

Sense was appointed in December 2004 along with Pringle Brandon (interior design), MEIT (services engineer), Coleman Bennett International (IT consultant), GTMS (project manager), Mace (planning supervisor) and ISG (management contractor).

In January 2006 the project recorded one of the highest ever monthly valuations for a fit out with a total of £10,360,000. Sense was also responsible for an overall budget of £80m including the cost management of professional fees, IT and furniture in addition to the construction costs.
