Mace Group ranked 2nd in Sunday Times Top Track 250

Mace Group is proud to announce that the company has been ranked No. 2 in the 2008 Sunday Times Top Track 250 league table of Britain's biggest mid-market private companies. This follows impressive gains for the last three years, from 132nd place in 2005 and 54th in 2006 to 13th in 2007 and the hard to beat 2nd place this year. The Top Track 250 was a pull out in Sunday's paper (19th October) and ranks companies according to their latest sales figures.

Given the current economic climate, the article emphasised the importance of flexible business models as companies fight off the worst of the downturn. Construction related businesses are identified as some of the firms hardest hit but nonetheless occupy 34 places in the top 250 league. The closing remark is optimistic however, suggesting that many of the more adaptable companies would no doubt still feature in the list next year.
