Mace appointed to largest further education college in Wales

Mace has recently been appointed to provide project management services for Coleg Gwent, the largest further education college in Wales. This four year £60 million framework agreement involves the redevelopment and improvement works to key campus sites located in the South Wales region.
Commencing at the Crosskeys campus, the project team are currently working on phase one of the three phase development of the existing facility, with the estimated value of phase one being £12.5 million. This will bring it in line with 21st century standards.
Howard Burton, principal and chief executive of Coleg Gwent, said: "The proposals will help us achieve our vision of becoming the most successful college in the UK. The new-look college estate will be accessible, inviting and inspiring and will provide an environment in which learners and staff can work together effectively and efficiently."
