Imaginative teamwork wins award

The Chamberlain Awards are Birmingham City Council's first corporate recognition scheme. Now in their third year, the awards honour and reward employees who deliver excellent services to the residents of Birmingham. This year, the Eastside Ventureast project team (comprising Birmingham City Council and Mace) won the 'imaginative teamwork' award, in recognition of its outstanding achievement and dedication as a team whilst facing some difficult and complex challenges.
The Ventureast project team is responsible for coordinating the delivery of one of the UK's largest regeneration projects. The Eastside area is divided into several lots with Mace working with Birmingham City Council and the regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands to deliver the £500m Ventureast learning and leisure quarter lots.
