Mace Group Board Director

David joined Mace in 1992 and was appointed to the group board in 2003. He is responsible for project and development management activity with an emphasis on the private sector with developers, corporates, residential and mixed use clients across the UK.

David trained as a quantity surveyor and spent his early career with Balfour Beatty and then Essex County Council before moving into project management in the mid 1980s with EC Harris. He has a broad background in project and development management from site acquisition and viability stage through to hands on project delivery in all sectors. His knowledge of the office development and fit out market is particularly strong and he works closely with the industry to help define best practice. His role on the British Council for Offices (BCO) London judging panel is an excellent example of this involvement.

David has a passion for detail and a reputation for successful project delivery wherever he is. With experience in Europe and through a two year posting to the Far East, David can also support global clients or programmes of work.

A self confessed petrolhead, David lives in Harpenden with his wife and two children.
