Legal Director

Amy joined Mace in August 2003 and is the head of the Mace Group's legal and insurance department. Amy is a solicitor and prior to joining Mace worked in private practice at Eversheds solicitors where she specialised in construction law.

Amy is responsible for the provision of advice and support to the group on all legal and risk management issues. Amy also oversees the group's insurance regime and monitors compliance with the terms of the group's policies.

Her remit covers all aspects of construction law (procurement advice, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, bonds, guarantees and warranties) as well as joint ventures, leases, intellectual property and commercial contracts. She coordinates use of external legal resource where necessary, and also acts as the group's data protection officer.

Out of work Amy is something of a wine buff. In 2005 she was awarded a diploma in wine studies from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and won the WSET ‘Hors Concours' award for achieving the highest marks worldwide for a non-wine trade student.
